Opinion Outpost is a market research panel where you complete surveys about various products and services, and earn cash and other rewards for doing so. Let’s be honest, you’re likely only here for the money, not the opportunity to voice your opinion on whatever topics the site has to offer. And rightly so!

Let me be clear – this site, as is the case with most of the tools I use on My Idle Income, is by no means a ‘get rich quick’ scheme.  You won’t be earning stacks of money by answering surveys. Instead, you earn points per survey (I’ve found it’s between around 5 and 15 per survey), each point being worth £0.05, which you can withdraw via PayPal, or as Amazon or iTunes vouchers. Optimistically, you’ll be earning around £2.50 a day, depending on the availability of surveys.

It’s not much, I know, but it’s still free money. Not only that, but you get an entry into their £5000 Quarterly Cash Prize Draw for each survey you complete – even if you don’t qualify for the survey, which can happen a lot.

In addition, occasionally you’ll come across a survey that allows you to participate in product testing. As an example, in February 2015, I had the privilege of product testing the new Foster’s Rocks rum flavoured lager. Not only did I receive 4 free cans of the product for ‘testing purposes’, but after filling out their survey, I was given £5 for my time. This kind of survey doesn’t come up often, but frankly when it does, it’s brilliant.

Sometimes you can be lucky enough to take part in product testing.

Opinion Outpost is one of the earliest tools I’ll be using, and possibly one that I’ll use throughout most of the lengthy ‘manual income’ portion of the Idle Experiment. I highly recommend this site for bringing in that little bit of extra pocket change, and indeed for that slim chance at £5,000.
